Contract Script Writer of Online Course: Financial Accounting

MHHE seeks a Contract Script Writer to develop online course content supporting the release of a leading Financial Accounting textbook.
Roles & Responsibilities:
o Write online course content, including explanatory text, interactive scenarios and activities, and feedback.
o Ensure content and copy meets established voice, tone, and style standards.
o Partner with MHHEs product team and subject matter experts to ensure the content meets business and technology requirements.
o Interview faculty and other instructors to gather data on digital adoption.
o Participate in meetings as necessary.
Position Requirements:
o You have a strong educational background in business/financial accounting.
o You have a superior command of English and can express it in writing.
o You can commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week for at least 3 months (though it could extend to 4-5 months).
o You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
o Youre able to attend required meetings in our Manhattan or Burr Ridge offices.
o If working from home, you have the equipment necessary to do it (laptop, high speed connection, comfortable chair, etc).
o You have a keen interest in developing digital education products that will effect fundamental change in how the next generation of students learns.
Compensation:
o $30 – $35 per hour depending on experience.

Short Film Script (New York and Metros)

I am looking for a character-rich script – one that is an off-kilter look at an old concept OR one that is entirely off-the-wall and character-driven. I do not want a dialogue-heavy mini-Clerks or a five-minute sketch. I am looking for something fun to cast and direct.

About Us:
For the past nine years, weve been producing a weekly, two hour soft rock radio program that air nationally on 15 radio stations. Yes, this is a real radio program, it airs on real over the air radio stations. Our company is very small and this is a side project that we do mainly as a labor of love.
What we are looking for:
We are currently seeking writers for our program. You will be supplied with a preselected list of songs for each program (we test our music and this the program is either #1, 2 or 3 with women 25-54, so we are not looking for suggestions on what to play). You either love soft rock from the 80s, or you are a professional and can write good copy for any music format. Since we are a small company and revenues are down, the pay is $25 per script. Please do not respond if this rate is not acceptable, we do not want to waste your time. This is a 1099 contact position.

Please send us your resume and a cover letter explaining why you would be a good choice. Submissions without a resume and cover letter will be deleted. We are requiring this for two reasons: To see a sample of well how you write and to see if you and follow instructions. If you make the first round, you will be contacted by phone for a phone interview.
Then, you may be asked to write a sample script. You will be supplied a real playlist and you will be paid $25 for your efforts. If we like your work, we will then discuss the next step.
Lastly, we are NOT looking for DJs, voice over artists, producers, music directors, etc, just a writer for or show. Do not send us audio attachments, please.
