Major in English with a specialty in Creative Writing. Take courses in Theatre too.

Definitely take all the English classes you can, including Creative Writing if offered. Learn about multi-media presenations, like using computer programs to edit films, or sound presentations.
Everything today is done with computer software, so practice using programs that encourage writing, and word power.
You will have to know about life, and that means taking history, or any other social studies classes, especially about cultures, religion, languages, and things that will expand your word power.
You cannot write well, if you don’t have a huge vocabulary and know the answers to lots of trivia and facts that others do not have. Good writing must be fascinating, but also informative, or somewhat unusual.
The more creative you are, the better, because “plain” writers are a dime a dozen.
Good luck.
