Alice Series: Episode 1

The first in a series based on the video game by American Mcgee, and more specifically on the screenplay I wrote for that game. This is by far the largest collaborative effort I’ve ever been a part of in terms of Youtube videos. Three of my friends contributed their voices to the major and minor characters, sending in recordings which I then edited together using footage from Lionhead’s The Movies game as well as trailers for the original Alice game. Hope you enjoy! This has taken a bit of time to finally put together, and owes it’s existence to several dedicated and talented people! Synopsis: Alice is languishing in Rutledge Asylum, suffering from reoccurring nightmares about the tragic fire which killed her parents. After a session with the superintendent in which she experiences a waking dream, Alice returns to her cell and is driven to the brink of madness by a barrage of images. Confined to solitary, she encounters the Cheshire Cat (much changed), escapes, and drinks the Drink Me potion which hurls her into a darker Wonderland. Hopefully I’ll have the next episode together soon.

I like how you incorporated the “what’s wrong Alice?” part from the trailer into the video. Kudos for that :)

Did you animate any of that?
If you want my voice, just ask. I have a microphone.

I tried to take out most of the mic pops, and I boosted the volume, but it’s not Rinny’s fault her mic is a bit tempermental.
I’m just jazzed to have female actors in the video, and not just me doing a high, soft voice!
