A big fan of the film “I Went Down”, I was very excited to find that the screenplay had been published. It did not disappoint. I found myself laughing aloud while reading Conor McPherson’s rich, deep, and hilarious dialogue. This book is wonderful because it doesn’t have the pretentious attitude so many published screenplays have. I love that it includes many rare pictures from the film, an interesting review of the script’s evolution, an interview with the filmmakers, and cut scenes that lead to a deeper understanding of the characters. So much fun.
