Hi, I’m a teen filmmaker. I don’t have awesome equipment (I’m getting there), but I’m very passionate about filmmaking. I have been trying to find ways to get more involved with others like myself. Any suggestions? (camps, workshops, groups, organizations, etc…)

Is it okay to write in screenplay format in a short story contest? It doesn’t have any rules or regulations against it, but how good are my chances of winning? Would you still judge my story like every other contestant?

I took scriptwriting back in college and I can’t remember a term I was trying to explain to some friends tonight. The term relates to when a movie allows the audience to assume something happened without showing it happening, but by showing the aftermath instead.
For example a spy is sneaking around the bad guys house. The spy runs into a waiter in uniform. The next scene suddenly the spy is wearing the waiter uniform as a disguise. The audience assumes the spy knocked the waiter out and took his uniform for cover.

Hi there,
I have the possibility to do an unpaid placement with a filmmaking / documentry film company as a “production assistant” – starting mainly with translation / transcription… is it a good way to start with filmmaking?

i am a doctor, i wrote the story while in the medical college. and the story is of a new taste. it describes one exhumation two postmortems and three love incidences.

ive always had a big intrest in film. i hope to maybe go into the film business when im older (im 15). ive always had an intrest in screenwriting but not sure how i start.Please help!

I work full time & can’t go to film school is it realistic to try & get into making films in Los Angeles? I just want to be a PA, Grip or Crew & work my way up.
